I want to buy a new digital camera, how many megapixels? What are they?
How many megapixels should be a great device photo?
Anything more than 4 megapixels is good enough for beginners. MegaPixel have nothing to do with the image quality whatsoever. The megapixel myth was started by camera manufacturers and swallowed hook, line and sinker by measurebators camera. device manufacturers cameras use the number of megapixels a camera trick you into thinking it has something to do with the quality of the camera. They use because even a small linear resolution increase results in a total increase of huge pixels, since the total number of pixels varies as the total area of the image, which varies as the square of the linear resolution. In other words, an increase of nearly invisible to 40% in the number pixels in any direction results in a doubling of the total number of pixels in the image. Therefore camera manufacturers can always brag about how much better this week of the camera is even with significant improvements. This trick is used by vendors and manufacturers for you feel as if your present is inadequate and must be replaced even if the new aircraft each year are only slightly better. To prove this point.
