Battery Devouring Digital Cameras and people who love them
Millions of people have fallen in love with their digital camera, and for good reasons. They are compact easy to transport to wherever a person can walk, they are capable of producing images of exceptional quality that can be easily shared online with others around the world, and with digital storage, they are a space saving wonder. In addition, digital cameras allow users to save the cost of film and development. But perhaps the biggest attraction of these cameras is the control they provide over the images we create during the editing process.
Unfortunately, most of those who love devices digital cameras have also learned to know their dark side, their thirst for power. For example, if the lighting is already sufficient or the subject is beyond the flash range anyway do not use the flash.
• When using the viewfinder can put up a shot that the LCD consumes much energy battery. Using the LCD screen can improve some plans, as in the case of photography close-up/macro but in most cases the use the viewfinder is sufficient. (Remember, photographers operate without LCD screens for most of the history of photography!)
• Use sources other power, if necessary. For example, use an adapter when downloading images and using the computer for review and deletion of image rather than performing such functions directly on the camera.
• Make things manually when possible. Power on the camera to focus, anything self takes more power.
• Some Experts say certain types of storage media and consume more energy. For example, Compact Flash is said to be more energy conscious form storage as MicroDrive media.
Certainly, the many features on a digital camera are convenient and desirable. Users must Just be aware of the enormous demands placed on the battery compartment in these same characteristics.
