Lens Pro Kit
I have a new Canon XSi and keep hearing that the kit lens is why the images are "soft?"?
I disappointed with the image quality having come from an ancient and amazing Nikon D100. I made the switch after hearing how Canon was, but I am disappointed with the quality of the image. Do you think its the kit lens? Or am I being too picky. Or Willi Get caught once I put some good glass L-series about this? Canon Pro help me here. Its aggravating. lol. OKay rented the 70-200 L series lens with better aperature. The results are verrrry nice. Guy at the camera shop also told me that from a CCD CMOS notice that I could richer colors and images that might be slightly softer. Appears the kit lens is a cheapie. God thank you, this is not the camera. Also restart a camera described in a dpreview forum and it makes a big difference.
Nikon is a brand very well, I do not see why you have changed either. The non-IS 18-55mm kit lens is branded by many as the worst lenses ever made by Canon, but I saw some amazing photos taken with her. I think this is obviously not the quality of the lens L can do a decent job in the hands of a good photographer. Ultimately but its meant to be an objective snapshot and $ 100 you can not really expect much. I would also say that in most respects, The D100 is the class above the XSi, perhaps intended to compete with the Canon 30D. Anyway, the two brands to take amazing photos, jumping from one to the other isn't going to change much, and do not expect a blow you kit lens if you have experience with digital SLR cameras.
