Canon PowerShot SD1000 7.1 Megapixel Digital Camera
The retail price around $ 170.00
Advantages: Compact, Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, good value for money, friendly, durable images good,
Cons: Can not set the speed fast enough for low light images.
Do not come with a case. Small Memory map.
The biggest complaint seems to be that Canon should have included a 1 or 2 GB SD card. It comes with a card of 32 MB of memory. With the maps being inexpensive, it would not have made a difference in costs and would have probably done it a 5 "true" rating.

"In the past I owned a Canon SD400, 500, 600, 630, and Rebel XTi. The SD1000 is a good value for what you get. The only thing I do not like about the Canon SD series is that the digital optical / zoom is very good but the price is a bargain. Especially Now that SD1000 is 7.1 MP. The SD1000 has more than one box to watch over other devices in the SD series but still enjoyable with a large screen LCD. Overall good camera. "

Fujifilm FinePix A800 8.3 Megapixel Digital Camera
Street price around $ 140.00
Strengths: quality compares with a higher rating Fujifilm F31fd. Easy to use. Comes with 1 GB of memory and carrying case. Good for a beginner.
Cons: No viewfinder. Poor shooting light could be better, slow down latency. Not the best for shooting fast.

"Impressive Pictures from a cheap camera (130USD). Basically quality equivalent to that side Fujifilm F31fd, it only has 8 megapixels (not 6). Noise Reduction gnawing edges and details, but overall a great performance unmatched by more compact. Starting, zoom, autofocus, image zoom and review is particularly slow. Not the best for shooting fast. "

Sony Cyber-shot W55 Camera Digital Camera, 7.2 Megapixels
The retail price around $ 150.00 – $ 180.00
Pros: Excellent Macro function. At a viewfinder .* Sturdy. Long battery life.
Cons: You must buy a memory card. Low light / indoor pictures could be better.
* Although it has a viewfinder which is a plus, unfortunately, it is not very accurate for close-ups.

The prices on digital cameras have dropped significantly while quality has improved. It was not too long ago, a 2-3 megapixel camera was the norm.
Now 7-8 is in average.
Selecting the camera for you depends on what you want a camera. If you just want to make family, or snapshots vacation, you probably can not go wrong with any of them. However, if you photograph a lot more sophisticated, then you should probably consider the type SLR cameras.
