What is wrong with my 2001 Honda Power Door Locks EX?
Hi, I just buy a used 2001 Honda Civic EX (2 door). Here is the original state: it comes with a remote control does not work (no response at all when I press button) and the driver's door does not respond to button power lock / lever on the door at all. The passenger door works fine when I use blocking power. Both doors are working well if I use the button to lock and unlock them. I replace the battery in the remote and now: The driver's side door still does not work. The passenger side door can be locked using remote but can not be unlocked (the flashing of headlights, but the door will not unlock). Note: The car lights still flashing Each time a button the remote is pressed. And it also honks. 1. What is the problem? 2. Do not know about how much it cost to fix this? 3. If I want to fix myself, Where do I get the part (s)? Thank you in advance for your help.
A bad master switch (driver switch Assembly door) will give you these symptoms. Try to exchange information for a known good. They are just hundreds of dollars in new funds. You can get to the store or online. If that's not it, check the wiring inside the door (could have been snatched by Slim-jimming someone lock the door). If you do nothing else, bite the bullet and move it to the dealer.
