What are the advantages and disadvantages between Digital SLR and 35mm SLR?

Digital SLRs have taken the photography world by storm. Even Canon and Nikon are cutting their lines of film to a minimum. Cons: I think you'd almost have to be a serious pro to find a con with digital. If someone has shot a lot of movies and knows that the film works best in what situation they may not be as happy with digital. However, I think that may be a minority of shooters. Well, there are two things I should mention: 1. With a digital SLR, you'll really need a computer and a photo editor. The best photo editing software is not cheap. There is also a learning curve with a product like Adobe Photoshop. Parallel to this, the time spent post-processing can really count. It is the task of downloading files, organize files, selecting keepers, image editing, etc. 2. Speaking of learning curves, it is also a strong learning curve in learning the controls cameras from a previous film camera, not as a device with more recent film that has many features. Strengths: 1. Flexibility — With a digital SLR, you can change the ISO on the fly. Shoot low light in 1600, to change a parameter and draw a picture at ISO 200 … 2. The cost virtually free of mixing the shutter button. With you kind of film could count about 25 cents each time the trigger is pressed. With digital shooting 100 shots do not cost more than getting 1. 3. The cost free to take a shot can help advance digital Shooter skills much more quickly. For example, last night I was shooting a basketball game and cross my 6,000 th image in less than a year. It is not possible, I would have been able to afford that much film and processing. Most of these 6000 was not so high but everyone helped me learn more about the art of photography. Once upon a time I swore that I had never go digital. Once I did, I never looked back. I learned more about photography last year with a digital SLR in my previous 25 + years of shooting.
