What is the cheapest way to get a digital SLR?

And do not say steal, I am a student photographer, and I used digital camera Canon Standard, but I wan't something with more optical zoom which can be digital. I have a Canon SLR movie my mother was, and frankly it is rather old and concern for the transport. I decided might be best if I went ahead and invested in a DSLR, but I know that those are extremely expensive! So, do you know where the best deals are for digital SLR cameras, both on and offline? Or, if not, you know what is the best digital SLR cameras are STYLED are there? Thank you so much!

Depending on how you're serious about photography and what type of photography you do. Personally, I recommend a used or refurbished digital SLR starters. I bought mine second hand and paid only 1/4th of the price.I own Canon EOS 10D, you can see some of my photos on my site. So, for the lens, the only problem with second hand is to be very careful.
